Chamomile is derived from the two greek words “Khamai” (“on the ground”) and “Melon” (“apple”), which are attributed to it’s apple-scented aroma. It is also known as the “star among medicinal species.”
Roman Chamomile promotes a heavy state of relaxation due to its sedative properties. Research shows that the use of Roman chamomile can attenuate and alleviate depressive and anxiety symptoms through reinforcing the nerves. It contains antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties, which beyond the physical can also soothe tense and “inflamed” emotions and states of mind.
