5 Easy Ways to Keep Healthy & Committed Habits
When it comes to self-care, you may not really know where to start. Luckily, one of the best things about figuring out where to get started is that #selfcare has become such a trend - everyone is doing it. This is the kind of peer pressure I can get behind. However, it can be overwhelming if you aren’t sure what exactly you need to do. I have 5 practices for you to ensure you are doing self-care the right way, aka your way. The way to truly nail down a self-care routine/ritual is to stay committed to it over time and I am going to show you how.
List It Out & Set Intentions
What is it that you really want to achieve out of practicing self-care? Do you want to help rebuild and maintain your mental health? Would you like to see yourself make healthier choices for your body and potentially your family? You can practice self-care for whatever reason you decide.
However, if you don’t have a clear goal or two in mind, you might find yourself wandering off your path. You don’t need a huge do or die goal, but just a little something to keep you motivated and focused. If you want to quiet your mind, make it a goal to find a guided meditation on an app or YouTube and listen to it at least once a day for 10 minutes at the same time. Not only will you have a clear intention, but being consistent will establish a pattern and make your self-care even more effortless.
Stay Within Your Comfort Zone
Yeah, this is something you will never catch me saying again! Again, find a pattern that works for you. These are just some helpful steps to get you started on the path that gets you out and taking care of YOU! Even one new process is progress - and progress trumps perfection, any day. Remember that. Celebrate your steps and keep your eyes on the prize! You’re worth it, girl!
