4 Ideas For The Best Morning Routine

4 Ways To Design The Best Morning Routine As The Successful Boss Of Your Life

Wednesday, October 16th is National Bosses Day, and what better way to celebrate than by reminding yourself of what a dang good boss you are? Whether you’re the CEO of a fast-growing company, a fearless freelancer, or a kick-ass mom with a can-do attitude, we are all the bosses of our life in our own unique ways.

And what do all successful boss babes have in common? They’ve come up with the best morning routine that helps them take on the day. Our mornings are indeed precious. Those few minutes after you roll out of bed and before you head out the door have the power to set the tone for your entire day and affect your productivity and your mood. These are the moments of sacred silence before the outside world comes banging into our day. If you haven’t given a lot of thought to
how you spend those first few moments or hours, now might be the time to do so.

Designing the best morning routine that works for you can prevent anxiety, reduce stress, increase focus and motivation, and help you take charge of every aspect of your day. However, building a routine that gives you clarity of mind and leads to a fulfilling, power-charged morning can take some trial and error. If you haven’t found your own positivity-boosting morning routine yet, don’t fret! Set your alarm early— here are some morning routines worth getting up for.

What: Practice mindfulness
Why it’s good for you:

A big part of a successful morning routine is what you choose not to do. When you first wake up, refrain from checking your cell phone or jumping into checking emails. This immediately distracts you and takes your attention away from yourself. Instead, focus on your mind and body’s needs and start your day by giving to yourself. Take a minute to express your gratitude for a new day - even jot down a mini gratitude list - and set intentions for the next 12 hours.
Choose a mindful breathing exercise to support tranquility and self-awareness.

What: Set your goals for the day
Why it’s good for you:

Each morning, it helps to sit down and review some of your more foundational goals - including daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, etc. By doing this, you can start your day focused on your core beliefs and plans so that everything you do will align to serve them. It also helps to come up with a positive mantra that can set the tone for your day. Our favorite? “I embrace the divine unfolding of my life” that comes with our Sacred Mood Mist™ and promotes total self-
acceptance.

What: Get your body moving
Why it’s good for you:

Start the day feeling fresh and rejuvenated. Nothing charges you with more energy than a quick workout in the morning. Whether it’s taking a swim in your
community pool or hitting that 7AM yoga session, you’ll feel reborn and ready to tackle your day with confidence. Even if you’re not feeling like going to a class one day, you can simply do a 10-minute stretch at home to get the body moving. The great thing about exercise is that you can do it anytime, anywhere, and customize it to your body’s needs without expectation.

What: Essential oils
Why it’s good for you:

Aromatherapy is the science of using essential oils therapeutically to support the mind, body, and emotions. It has been proven to help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and overwhelm. Depending on their scent and chemistry, essential oils can promote calm tranquility or energized focus. They can enhance whatever mood you need to step into so you can tackle the day no matter what. To enhance your mindful, self-love morning, try our Mood Oil Set, a pair of aromatherapy fragrance oils that balance the mind and senses on the go. They can be applied to the pressure points - including the wrists, temples, backs of the ears and the neck before, during, and after your morning routine to bring comfort all day long.

No matter what your current “project” is - you are the boss of it! Having a great morning routine is your secret weapon to juggling it all with grace while ensuring you don’t leave yourself behind in the mix. When you prioritize practices that promote self-love and self-care first thing, you up-level the rest of your day and every other area of your life!

So true and important to have a morning routine. Yoga in bed first thing is yummy. Tree pose and cobblers pose open the hips, legs up the wall delightful and fish pose.
